Southeastern Wisconsin’s geographical location is on a known trafficking route in the Midwest and a known breeding ground for traffickers and recruiting ground for victims. This results in an area at high risk for trafficking. Those factors, combined with high unemployment, increased gang and drug activity, and high poverty levels create an even higher risk for human trafficking locally.
Come hear presenters from the Fight to End Exploitation organization discuss what we can do as educators to be more aware of students who may be at risk, and what we can do to prevent and assist victims in our schools and communities.
Parents, students, and community members are encouraged to attend. Food will be provided. So we may get an accurate count for food, please register below.
